We don't have to leave everthing up to Google, do we? But having so many creative thinkers on work, they release regularly usefull software and ideas. For example PowerMeter. It measures the entire power usage of a household. And more important it visualises it. The developer's opinion, only by noticing your own behaviour, we're able to change something, seems reasonable to me.

But: Google has allready collected enough datas, which are filed in their databases.

Such a tool would be a great idea for an open source development: a worldwide and joint development of basic components followed by spezialised expansion / further elabortion adapted to national requirements.
